JAKARTA - A video of the LGBT party in Kalibata went viral on social media has caused the police and Civil Service Police (Satpol PP) to put up two 3-meter-long warning banners on Jalan Warung Jati Timur, in front of the Wow Cafe and Taman Warung Jati Raya, Kalobata Village, South Jakarta. The banner reads "Kalibata Residents Reject LGBT and Drugs".
The Head of Pancoran Police, Commissioner Rudiyanto, said the banner was installed after a video of an erotic dance performed by three teenage boys went viral in a cafe.
"Last night around 20.00 p.m. local time, the Pancoran District Satpol PP team also sealed the Warunk WOW (WOW Cafe) on Jalan Warung Jati Timur Raya, No.1B, RT 004/03, Kalibata Village and was accepted by the management. This activity was witnessed by religious leaders and local residents," said the police chief when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, December 8.
The activity was also attended by religious leaders as well as the chairman of RW 09, chairman of RW 03, head of RT 06, youth leaders, residents of RW 03 neighborhood units, and Warunk WOW Management.
"The sealing was also carried out by the Pancoran Satpol PP due to the violation of the COVID-19 Health Protocol (Prokes) by the Warunk Wow management," said Commissioner Rudiyanto.
