Polda Metro Reveals Reasons For Ipda OS To Open Fire, Was Warned But The Victim's Car Was About To Crash

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya revealed the reason Ipda OS shot Poltar Pasaribu and M. Aruan at the Bintaro Toll Exit. Based on the examination, Ipda OS felt his life was in danger.

"Ipda OS is trying to defend itself. This is the confession given," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Tuesday, December 7.

Ipda OS felt that his life was in danger because the two victims who were in the same car almost hit him. In fact, at that time Ipda OS had given a warning by firing into the air.

"Ipda OS fired a warning into the air. However, it was ignored that it was attacked, which means that this vehicle was trying to crash," said Zulpan.

One warning shot. Then, Ipda OS opened fire at the two victims.

"One shot in the air, then the shot that hit the victim, both of them hit," said Zulpan.

For information, the shooting took place at the Bintaro Toll Exit, South Jakarta, on Friday, November 26, at around 19:00 WIB.

In the shooting case, Poltak Pasaribu died after previously undergoing intensive treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. Meanwhile, another victim, M. Aruan, managed to survive.
