JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia is responding to the news circulating regarding one of its employees who is suspected of committing a criminal act of transferring funds.

“Referring to Law No. 3 of 2011 Regarding Fund Transfers, we can say that basically, the follow-up to the legal process taken by this company is part of the commitment to upholding good corporate governance, especially in the aspect of human resource (HR) governance, including if there are indications that employees commit a criminal act," explained the President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra, through a statement received by the editors, Saturday, December 4.

Garuda Indonesia fully submits the follow-up to this legal process to the authorities, in this case, the police, who will of course follow up professionally.

"Garuda Indonesia will certainly respect the legal process that is currently taking place, especially considering that currently the case has been entered into the police investigation process, where the employee in question has also been named a suspect referring to the evidence revealed in the investigation process," said Irfan.

Irfan conveyed that Garuda Indonesia always prioritizes the principles of good corporate governance, including in human resource management which refers to the labor provisions and other applicable regulations. Previously, the company had also carried out a mediation process to resolve the problem with the employee concerned.

"We convey that the ongoing legal process in the case of alleged criminal acts is a form of serious attention as well as our firm commitment in ensuring indications of legal violations by employees, especially those that are contrary to labor regulations within the scope of the company as well as legal regulations, are subject to sanctions in accordance with regulations and laws. applicable.
