KEPRI - Bintan Police, Riau Islands, destroyed 3.35 kilograms of methamphetamine, 1,200 happy five pills, and 199 ecstasy pills in front of the local police headquarters.

Shabu-shabu is destroyed by boiling in boiling water, while happy five pills and ecstasy are destroyed by blending.

Bintan Police Chief, AKBP Tidar Wulung Dahono, said this extermination was the result of revealing narcotics cases during 2021.

Moreover, Tidar continued, the geographical location of Bintan Regency, which is directly adjacent to neighboring countries, is very vulnerable to being a drug smuggling route through the "rat port".

"Supervision of the entrance of drugs into the Bintan area must be tightened with the involvement of all parties", he emphasized.
