Bengkulu Receives 51,000 Doses Of Sinovac COVID-19 Vaccine, Specifically Used For The Second Dose Of Vaccination

BENGKULU - The Bengkulu Provincial Health Office received 51,000 doses of the Sinovac type of COVID-19 vaccine which was specifically used to vaccinate the second dose of residents of the area.

The head of the Bengkulu Provincial Health Office, Herwan Antoni, said that the increase in vaccine doses was due to the large difference between the recipients of the first and second doses of vaccine. With the addition of this dose, the difference will decrease.

"As many as 51,000 doses of the vaccine are specifically for the second dose of vaccination in the Bengkulu Province", said Herwan in Bengkulu, Antara, Friday, December 3.

The Sinovac vaccine was chosen because the majority of people in Bengkulu Province use the Sinovac vaccine. However, his party is currently carrying out the first dose of vaccination using Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.

Currently, the vaccination achievement in Bengkulu Province reaches 64.13 percent or around 996,452 people from the target of 1,553,792 people and for the second dose, it is around 31.28 percent or about 486,094 people.

The vaccination achievements at the district/city level are Bengkulu City, the first dose is 72.56 percent and the second dose is 50.73 percent, Kaur Regency is at 68.30 percent and the second dose is 25.96 percent. In Central Bengkulu Regency the first dose was 68.35 percent and the second dose was 38.78 percent, North Bengkulu Regency the first dose was 68.04 percent and the second dose was 33.80 percent.

South Bengkulu Regency the first dose was 65.58 percent and the second dose was 26.87 percent, Rejang Lebong Regency the first dose was 61.05 percent, and the second dose was 23.22 percent. In Kepahiang Regency the first dose was 59.75 percent and the second dose was 22.50 percent, Lebong Regency the first dose was 57.96 percent and the second dose was 31.95 percent.

Seluma Regency the first dose was 56.96 percent and the second dose was 24.79 percent and Mukomuko Regency the first dose was 54.07 percent and the second dose was 17.77 percent. Currently, there are five positive COVID-19 patients in Bengkulu Province from North Bengkulu, South Bengkulu and Seluma Regencies.
