Doing Violence To Wife, Tangerang Regional House of Representatives Member RGS Officially Becomes Suspect

TANGERANG - The police have named a member of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Tangerang Regency, Banten, with the initials RGS as a suspect. RGS is strongly suspected of committing domestic violence (KDRT).

"The status of RGS has been determined as a suspect by the Tangerang Police Satreskrim investigators", said Banten Police Public Relations Head, AKBP Shinto Silitonga, via a written message received in Tangerang, Antara, Thursday, December 2.

He said the determination as a suspect for the regional council member was based on the report of the victim who was the wife of the alleged perpetrator and was received by the police on June 1, 2021. Then, he continued, the police immediately launched an investigation.

"So based on a complaint about the domestic violence case from a housewife LK, 40 years old on June 1, 2021", he said.

He revealed that based on his determination as a suspect, investigators from the Tangerang Police, Banten Police will undergo a deeper examination of RGS.

"Investigators have scheduled the examination of RGS as a suspect today, Thursday", he said.

Meanwhile, RGS, who is a member of Commission II of the Tangerang Regional House of Representatives, when confirmed by Antara, has not received an official answer from him.
