'During Pandemic, All Teachers Are Required To Work Sincerely'

ACEH - Teachers in North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, are required to teach sincerely and work extra during the coronavirus pandemic known as COVID-19.

"During the pandemic, all students are required to work sincerely. Although it is considered not optimal, various efforts have been carried out optimally," said Marzuki Hasan, a teacher in North Aceh Regency, as reported by Antara, Thursday, November 25.

According to Marzuki Hasan, who is also the Head of SMA Negeri 1 Syamtalira Bayu, North Aceh Regency, the pandemic has changed teaching and learning patterns from face-to-face to virtual or online.

"However, currently the teaching and learning process has started to return to normal, taking place face to face, although it is still limited," said Marzuki Hasan.

Marzuki Hasan said, during the pandemic his party had to adapt to the conditions of the online learning system and take various ways so that the knowledge given could be well absorbed by students.

"In addition to virtual teaching, teachers also come directly to students so they can learn. Because, as long as COVID-19 cases increase, face-to-face teaching and learning is abolished," said Marzuki Hasan.

Marzuki Hasan said there were many obstacles faced when learning to teach online. This condition is exacerbated because teachers, students, and parents of children are not used to using technology.

"Many parents complain about virtual learning, ranging from limited internet quota to not having a smartphone or mobile phone," said Marzuki Hasan.

At that time, he said, almost all the parents or guardians of students requested that face-to-face learning be carried out immediately because online learning was not effective.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has made everyone aware of the patience and struggles of teachers in educating students to gain useful knowledge," said Marzuki Hasan.
