Calling Israel Launches Airstrikes On Syria With F-16 Fighter Jets, Russia: 10 Of 12 Missiles Successfully Dropped

JAKARTA - Russia's Defense Ministry said Israel launched airstrikes on Syrian territory from Lebanon, with its air defense system succeeding in bringing down the majority of the missiles launched.

Six Israeli Air Force F-16 tactical fighter jets have sent missile strikes from Lebanese airspace against targets in Syria's Homs region, Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposite Parties in Syria, told reporters.

"On November 24, between 02:28 a.m. and 02:38 a.m., six Israeli Air Force F-16 tactical fighter jets launched an attack with twelve guided missiles from Lebanese airspace against targets in Syria's Homs Province," Leather quoted TASS as saying November 25.

"As a result of the Israeli airstrikes, minor material damage was incurred and one Syrian soldier was injured," he said.

Meanwhile, citing Sputnik News, the Russian-made Buk-M2E and Pantsir-S air defense systems again succeeded in downing the majority of missiles fired by Israeli fighter jets.

"The air defense forces of the Syrian armed forces destroyed ten missiles with the Russian-made Buk-M2E and Pantsir-S air defense systems," he said.

Skin further explained, in Idlib province, two Syrian soldiers were injured in sniper fire carried out by terrorists from Fatirah against government troop positions outside Mallajah. And also in artillery fire fired from Majdalaiya.

"The Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Parties to the Opposites calls on the commanders of illegal armed groups to stop armed provocations and to start a path of peaceful settlement in the areas under their control," he said.
