JAKARTA - The chairman of the DKI DPRD rejected the proposal for a debt loan budget to build the Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) in Sunter, North Jakarta, which was proposed by the BUMD PT Jakpro.

According to the plan, Jakpro will propose a debt of Rp4 trillion to state-owned company PT Sarana Multi Infrastrukti. Every debt application to PT SMI must be approved by the DPRD.

Prasetyo said that he crossed out the proposed debt application because he did not receive an explanation regarding the details of the use of the Rp4 trillion budget.

"The application that was rejected was more than Rp4 trillion. It was loan money to SMI and had to comply with my approval. If I accepted this proposal without any explanation, I would definitely reject it," Prasetyo told reporters, Wednesday, November 24.

What surprised Prasetyo was that the DKI Provincial Government initially proposed a debt budget of Rp2.8 trillion in the agreement on the General Budget Policy and the 2022 Temporary Budget Ceiling between the DKI Provincial Government and the DPRD in early November.

However, after that, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, issued an application for approval to apply for a debt to build the Sunter ITF amounting to Rp4 trillion. In the letter, Anies explained that debt repayment is planned to be paid in 2022 to 2024 fiscal year in stages.

Until now, Prasetio also admitted that he had not received a clear picture from the leaders in parliament regarding this loan.

When there was no explanation, Prasetyo was worried that the substitute for the DKI Governor after Anies stepped down before the 2024 gubernatorial election would be confused in making payments.

"Why does it have to be discussed? So that the rationalization is clear, because the next governor will replace Pak Anies in 2022, he will be confused about the payment. Because here, I see that until 2024 it will be the responsibility of the governor," explained Prasetyo.
