Car Crashes Into The Fence Of The Kudus Police Headquarters

KUDUS - An Avanza car with the police number K-1319-AK driven by a resident of the Mejobo District crashed into the fence of the Kudus City Police Headquarters, Jenderal Sudirman Street, Central Java. The fence was badly damaged and the billboard pole also collapsed.

According to the Head of Traffic Accident Unit of Kudus Police, 2nd Insp. Firman Abit Prasetya, the single accident was allegedly caused because the driver, Hartoyo, a resident of Bulungcangkring Village, Mejobo District, Kudus, lacked concentration.

The chronology of the incident occurred when the driver of the Avanza car pumped his car tires at the gas station in front of the Kudus City Police.

After that, his car suddenly swerved across the road and crashed into the sidewalk and the fence of the City Police. The loss from this incident is estimated at Rp2 million.

Before hitting the Police Station fence, Hartoyo admitted that his car was in a stopped position and had been braked with the handbrake.

"As far as I remember the gear position is also neutral. It's just that when you turn it on, the car suddenly starts," he said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 21.

Because he was in a nervous state, he admitted that when the car was moving, he had tried to press the brake pedal. However, the wrong step on the gas pedal.

"Finally, the car slid and hit the fence of the Kudus City Police," said Hartoyo.

He said he was grateful that he was still safe and did not hit a passing motorist even though the front of his car was damaged and the windshield was also broken.
