20 Companies In Surabaya That Save Energy Received An Award From Mayor Eri Cahyadi

SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government gave awards to 20 private companies that contributed to the innovation of environmental management and energy saving in the City of Heroes, East Java.

"God willing, by saving energy and all the innovations that you are all doing, automatically our environmental conditions will always be maintained for the better," said Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi during the award presentation at Surabaya City Hall, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 16.

The awarding of the Energy Saving Clinic competition for the Commercial and Industrial Building Category in 2021, is divided into four sub-sections, including the three best companies in the Commercial Building Energy Saving Category and the three best companies in the Industrial Building Energy Saving Category.

In addition, there are also the seven best companies in the Energy-Saving Category for Commercial Buildings and the seven best in the Energy-Saving Category for Industrial Buildings.

Mayor Eri Cahyadi expressed his gratitude to the 20 best companies that have made efforts to protect and manage the environment as well as their awareness in energy use, implementing efficiency, energy innovation and energy management in the city of Surabaya.

According to Eri Cahyadi, by saving energy, the Surabaya City Government won the cleanest air award at the ASEAN level on October 19, 2021. Therefore, Eri hopes that all elements of society, investors and companies in Surabaya City will participate in developing innovation and protecting the surrounding environment.

"This continues to be done, not only about air, but also about land and water. This is our challenge going forward to continue to innovate to protect the environment. This time, we thank the 10 commercial buildings and 10 industrial buildings that have contributed, and develop innovations," he said.

The mayor who is familiarly called Cak Eri also did not forget to encourage the owners of commercial buildings and other industrial buildings to always continue to innovate and protect the environment.

"It doesn't mean that today, those who don't get the award trophy are less innovative and can't protect the environment, no. We have to improve together, if we can, in the next competition everyone will get awards, I believe Panjenengan is the best for Surabaya," he said.

Eri Cahyadi hopes that this year's competition for environmental management and energy-saving innovation will have a good impact in the future. So that the environment becomes more comfortable for the next generation.

"We also have a Mayor's Regulation (Perwali) which regulates green buildings. So, all buildings must be green in their environment, must be economical, the environment must also be healthy. Especially for buildings to be built, when the Amdal permit, IMB, it includes ( become one) within the guardianship. Therefore, let's take care of our environment, "said the mayor of Surabaya.
