MAKASSAR - The Cimory Dairyland Tourism Destination which will soon be built in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, precisely in Parangloe District, will become a new icon in this area.

"We hope and believe that the presence of Cimory Dairyland will become a new icon in Gowa Regency and South Sulawesi. It can even be encouraged to become a leading tourism object," said Gowa Regent Adnan Purrichta Ichsan at the laying of the first stone for the construction of Cimory Dairyland in Gowa, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 15. .

The laying of the first stone is also one of the series in welcoming the 701st year Gowa Anniversary (HJG), which falls on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

"Today we are laying the first stone as a follow-up to the MoU that was carried out some time ago. The initial stage of this development is targeted for completion in 2023," said Adnan.

PT. Sapta Pesona Tourism (WSP) will invest Rp. 20 billion for the development of Cimory Dairyland as a tourist destination as well as a dairy processing industry in Gowa Regency.

According to Regent Adnan, the entry of PT. WSP developing its business in the tourism sector is proof that Gowa Regency has considerable potential or natural resources in developing investment.

Moreover, the development carried out by PT. WSP is currently in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Although the COVID-19 pandemic is still hitting, the entry of investment in Gowa is able to encourage regional development like what PT. WSP has done," he said.

Adnan said that Cimory Dairyland would later promote dairy products managed by local companies and local communities in Kunciopao District.

The processed milk will be packaged under the name Malino Milk whose quality is certainly not much different from Cimory Milk.

"So PT WSP is an offtaker who will buy dairy cow's milk produced by our farmers in Kunciopao. So that later when these dairy cows produce, Perusda will no longer look for markets but will be bought directly by PT WSP," he explained.

Regent Adnan said, processed dairy cows that will be purchased by PT. WSP is estimated to be around 2,000 to 3,000 liters per day with predetermined standards.

Adnan requested that during the development process until the operation of Cimory Dairyland, it is able to absorb 60-70 percent of the workforce living around the development area.

This, of course, in addition to attracting tourists, will also meet the improvement of the welfare of the surrounding community.

"So that later we can collaborate with the Manpower and Transmigration Office through training according to the competencies required by the company," said Adnan.

Meanwhile, Farm Manager of PT Sumber Cita Rasa Alam, Dadang Suryana said PT. WSP invested IDR 20 to 21 billion in industrial and Cimory Dairyland.

"We are very grateful to the local government for all their support so that this activity can run well. Today we are laying the first stone for the construction of a mini factory and tourist attractions," he explained.
