Residents Of Itlay Hisage District, Papua Complain There's A Lazy Doctor Going To The Village, The Health Office Will Evaluate

JAYAWIJAYA - The Jayawijaya District Health Office in Papua Province plans to evaluate the performance of doctors in the Itlay Hisage District following reports of complaints from residents.

Residents mentioned that doctors who work in the district rarely come to the village to provide health services.

"We will evaluate it later. So we will not immediately respond to the request. We will call the doctor, we will ask about why the discourse emerged", said Jayawijaya Health Service Head, Willy Mambieuw, in Wamena as quoted by Antara, Friday, November 12.

According to Willy, the doctor assigned to Itlay Hisage previously served at the Bolakme Health Center, which is closer to the city center than Itlay Hisage.

"Maybe from one side it is because the reach to villages is too far so doctors can't go there, but I think as a health worker he should be able to manage that, there is no reason", he said.

"The doctor's name must be anywhere. It's not people who have to follow the doctor's wishes, doctors must be able to adapt to the conditions in which they work", he added.

Residents of Itlay Hisage District previously asked Jayawijaya Deputy Regent, Marthin Yogobi, to replace the doctor assigned to their area because it was considered that they rarely came to the village to provide health services to the community.
