Tangerang Regent Asks All Schools To Form A COVID-19 Task Force

JAKARTA - Tangerang Regent Ahmed Zaki Iskandar encouraged all local schools that had carried out face-to-face learning activities (PTM) to form a task force (satgas) in an effort to anticipate the transmission of COVID-19.

"We will leave it to the schools to form their own COVID-19 Task Force, because from the Dindik several hundred schools it is impossible. So we leave it entirely to each school," said Regent A Zaki in Tangerang, Monday, November 8. Between.

According to him, the role and establishment of the COVID-19 Task Force in each education unit or school is considered important to strengthen supervision of the implementation of health protocols for students.

"We have facilitated everything, from hand washing facilities to school sanitation. Now we hand it over to each school," he said.

He revealed that the Regency Government had given permission to all schools, both junior high schools and elementary schools to carry out limited face-to-face learning on the condition that they must comply with health protocols.

"Currently all schools in Tangerang Regency have implemented PTM in a very limited way," he said.

The Head of the Tangerang Regency Education Office, Syaifullah added, to follow up on the direction of the Tangerang Regent regarding the formation of the COVID-19 Task Force, his party immediately informed all schools under his supervision.

"Of course we will follow up with the establishment of a school-level COVID-19 Task Force," he said.

Then, he said, currently, all public and private junior high schools (SMP) have implemented limited face-to-face learning.

"For approximately two months, first-level schools have undergone limited PTM and Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly, no positive cases of COVID-19 were found," he said.

This week, his party also officially opened face-to-face learning activities in 1,090 elementary schools simultaneously.

"Today, 749 public elementary schools in Tangerang Regency and 341 private schools have implemented limited PTM, with a capacity of 50 percent," said Syaifullah.
