Familia is his latest album after releasing Romance in 2019. As the title suggests, this album contains songs related to family.
It all started when he spent time with his family during the lockdown. Citing NME, Camila said, “(Family) made my life better and that's what I wanted, so this is what I try to show in the album.”
During the pandemic, he distanced himself from the world of entertainment and enjoyed spending time with his family.
“I'm learning, I think building a passion outside of the studio and outside of music and beyond that. And I think this brings me closer to my family,” he explains.
Meanwhile, Camila also released a music video for the song Don't Go Yet which was directed by Philippa Price and Pilar Zeta.
“I thought 'Don't Go Yet' was me and freedom. Being in Miami for a long time with my family and speaking Spanish makes me feel, I don't know, it's like coming back."
Camila, who is currently working on the album Familia, has also just completed the production process for the Cinderella film, which will air on Amazon Prime Video in September.
