Queen's Greatest Hits Album Returns To Number 1 Official Charts

JAKARTA - Queen's Greatest Hits album returns to the UK charts for the first time in 40 years.

Launching Official Charts today, July 6, Queen re-released the album Greatest Hits on July 2 with a number of changes, including a new cover art and a limited edition cassette version.

Not yet a week, the album Greatest Hits has sold as much as 86 percent where this acquisition is dominated by purchases in physical format.

When it was first released in 1981, the album topped the Official Charts for four weeks between November and December.

Greatest Hits became Queen's album with the highest total sales of all time in the UK. The album has sold over six million copies and will continue to grow as re-releases come.

The band Queen is still active in the music world today. In 2020, they postponed their tour with Adam Lambert due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, Queen drummer Roger Taylor is preparing for a solo tour in the UK for this year.
