JAKARTA - A statue of rock and roll pioneer Little Richard will be erected outside the musician's childhood home in Macon, Georgia.

The musician, real name Richard Wayne Penniman, died earlier this month after a battle against bone cancer. He is 87 years old.

Launching USA Today, Wednesday, May 27, the charity foundation founded by Little Richard, Friends of the Little Richard House and the Community Foundation of Central Georgia will pay the cost of making the statue. Likewise, the star replica of the singer on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
