Indra Lesmana, Fariz RM, and Lilo KLa Project Appointed as AKSI Board of Trustees

JAKARTA - The Association of Composers of All Indonesia (AKSI) officially appointed three great songwriters - Indra Lesmana, Fariz RM, and Lilo KLa Project - into its structure.

The three names were appointed as the Board of Trustees, in line with Ahmad Dhani who had joined from the beginning.

The appointment of Indra, Fariz, and Lilo was delivered directly by Dhani when speaking on the podium of the National Congress of Composers of All Indonesia, which was held at the Ministry of Culture Building, Wednesday, March 4.

"Now we have three mentors (new ones who are undoubtedly capable as musicians," said Dhani.

With the addition of three new members, AKSI believes that what they have been fighting for is something that must continue to be fought for.

Dhani also asked the composers present to remain loyal to fighting for their rights, in addition to the copyright law revision process currently underway at the DPR Legislation Agency (Baleg).

"Never give up. We keep fighting. Because it turns out that the struggle is not easy. It turns out that fighting for our simple rights is not easy. It's strange but real," said Dhani.

"If we just keep quiet, we are careless, the fate of this composer will not be much different from what happened in 2014," he said.
