JAKARTA - In the midst of a new name in the music world that continues to emerge, Tsaqib has managed to steal attention. He has released a total of four songs as solo singers, three of whom have left in 2025 since he joined the Trinity Optima Production music label.
This singer from Bandung brought the DNA of pop music that is easy listening, has the theme of love and relies on parables. From Like it or not, which penetrated 8.7 million listeners and Rollers, the latest single, there is always an interesting metaphor that is the essence of his work.
Before starting the journey as a soloist, Tsaqib said he had been involved in several projects. In fact, he admitted that he had felt forced and uncomfortable doing musical activities since childhood.
"Actually, when asked about the project, it might be a bit more. Because I used to be offered music from a young age with my mother and brother. Even at first I wasn't comfortable in music myself. That means because I was forced, because I was told. From elementary school, from junior high school, it was made by a group, entered into a boyband, entered into this audition, but I never really wanted it," explained Tsaqib in a special interview with VOI, December 4.
Starting from hate because he was forced, Tsaqib admitted that he slowly began to fall in love with the music world. The singer who claims to be an extrovert likes the dynamics and interactions that occur in it.
"Maybe since I was in junior high school, I've been making bands and finally tried to enter a boyband. So there I already felt like, oh it turns out that I found fun. Because I met a lot of people, I met my age friends who were the same age. Then in the same show so it's like, oh I'm so excited.
When deciding to be solo in his career, Tsaqib brought the principle of bringing his own work. He wants to always be involved in the process of finding ideas and songwriting structures, and he has his own reasons for that.
"Before becoming a solo singer, which is definitely his work. Because I always want to sing what I wrote myself. Or even if it's helped by people, it's still my base. Because I want it to be conveyed, I really use my feelings, for example, I wrote it.

Tsaqib admits himself as a person who wants a lot, in the context of work. It was also what made him feel more comfortable when he had a music career as a single singer.
"What I learned in past experiences. Now this is also the reason why I now choose solos. Because making a group or being a member in a group is not easy. Because we put a lot of heads together. Then there are many things that we must both reduce, both love. And I think that is a challenge that maybe not everyone can," said the musician who was born December 30, 2001.
Tsaqib learned from the past by getting to know his character more deeply. He revealed quite specific about making music, so it was rather difficult for him to compromise the vision as he used to be as a member of the group.
"So now I know more about my self-capacity. Why do I want myself because I want a lot, or a lot of things. I'm in music so I know what I want. For example, I choose not to be in a group or in another project other than solo, because I don't want to ignore my musical ideals. This one. So a lot of learning is about the introduction of self-charity," he added.
Another thing he learns as a singer is about creating content. Before having his own song, Tsaqib was known for his song cover content on social media. Now he admits that he is more selective in uploading content.
"Even before I became a singer, I was a content creator too. So actually it wasn't too difficult (to create content). I used to have a lot. Content covers of songs that I felt I didn't like the song either. I sing songs that I don't like, let's just keep up on the surface, for example, there's something crowded. Now I'm starting to feel less. So I'm more singing. And bring whatever I like," he explained.
As a recent release, Tsaqib introduced a swimming wheel that tells the story of a stagnant phase of life. The story in this song questions, he says the wheels are spinning, but why doesn't that happen to us?
In the process of writing it, Tsaqib collaborated with Rinrin as A&R, and Rizky as producer, and Zara who helped make the lyrics. He revealed that his lover's role often helped him find the right words to complete the lyric writing process.
"He once wrote a lot. I think his lyrics are really good. Actually, what he is good at conveying his taste, so he knows how to translate," he said.
Tsaqib hopes to immediately present a mini album after releasing three singles with his music label. The hope is also simple for next year, so that it can be more productive and accompany listeners with the songs he creates.
