Ahmad Dhani Criticizes Ariel NOAH And Once Mekel's Statements That Are Considered To Ignore Composite Fate

JAKARTA - Ahmad Dhani through his Instagram account still continues to speak about the welfare of Indonesian songwriters. This time, he criticized the statements of two well-known singers, Ariel NOAH and Once Mekel.

In one upload, the Dewa 19 frontman responded to Ariel's statement submitted at a consultation meeting at the DPR RI, where the NOAH vocalist asked the government to emphasize that the singer was not the party responsible for paying royalties at the music concert.

"Don't think about the fate of the composer," Dhani wrote in response to Ariel's statement, quoted Monday, August 25.

Dhani questioned Ariel's silence over the fate of the composers, even though royalties have been regulated in Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright.

"Just for 10 years, composers don't get concert royalties," said Dhani.

Furthermore, Dhani questioned which party Ariel was on and what he was fighting for.

"What are we fighting for? We're still wondering," he said.

While in another upload, Dhani also criticized Once's statement, which said 'music' was basically something encouraging, not the other way around.'

Responding to what his former colleague in Dewa said, Dhani said that Once did not side with the composer and did not care about the fate of others.

"It's great for the singer, sad for the composer," said Dhani.

"Only KESATRIA caste can think about the fate of others," he said.
