Ida Royani, Wife Of Keenan Nasution, Says Vidi Aldiano Can Be Famous For The Song Nuansa Bening

JAKARTA - The song Nuansa Bening created by Keenan Nasution and Rudi Pekerti became a blessing in itself when Vidi Aldiano made his debut in the music industry by releasing the album Pelangi Di Malam Hari in 2008.

At that time, Vidi made the remake of 'Nuansa Bening' as the main single of his debut album, followed by 'False Status', 'False Heart Draining', and remake of the song 'Love Don't You Go'.

The sweet story 17 years ago changed 180 degrees, when Keenan Nasution and Rudi Pekerti sued Vidi for performing a commercially 'Nuansa Bening' without permission.

Responding to the lawsuit, Keenan's wife, who is also an actress and singer, Ida Royani, believes that Vidi's success as a singer cannot be separated from the song Nuansa Bening.

Ida said that Vidi could be famous for singing her husband's song which in fact was a famous song as a debut single.

"Vidi was previously a nobody, so he is famous for being 'Nuansa Bening'," said Ida Royani to the media crew in Fatmawati, South Jakarta recently.

"Many say Vidi is a big singer, yes, it's big because of this (the song 'Nuansa Bening') if you don't sing, you won't be (known)," he continued.

Ida through her experience also testified how people associate 'Nuansa Bening' as a song from Vidi and not Keenan.

"I like to check when I ride an ojol, when Mas Keenan is busy, I ask, 'Do you know the song Nuance Bening?' 'Oh yes, ma'am, it's cool' 'Who sings?' 'Vidi Aldiano' said the ojol. No one is leading to my husband,' he said.

Until now, Vidi Aldiano has not issued an official statement regarding the lawsuits of Keenan Nasution and Rudi Pekerti at the Central Jakarta Commercial Court.

The inaugural trial, which was held on May 28, had to be postponed because Vidi as the defendant was not present and did not send his attorney.
