Kendrick Lamar Gets Most Nominations For The 2025 American Music Awards

JAKARTA - The 2025 American Music Awards (AMAS) have announced a complete nomination of 37 categories, with Kendrick Lamar being the most nominated artist.

The 37-year-old rapper received ten nominations from eight categories, namely Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (GNX), Song of the Year (Not Like Us), Collaboration of the Year (Luther with SZA), Favorite Music Video (Not Like Us), and Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist, Favorite Hip-Hop Album (GNX), as well as Favorite Hip-Hop Song (Like That with Future and Metro Boomin, Not Like Us, and Luster with SZA).

With this record, Lamar can match Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston's record as artists who receive the most awards in a year if they win in all categories.

Under Lamar, there is Post Malone who received eight nominations from seven categories. The 29-year-old singer-songwriter fought for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Favorite Male Country Artist, Favorite Country Album, and Favorite Country Song.

In addition, those who received seven nominations were Billie Eilish, Chappell Rosan, and Shaboozey. While those who received six nominations were Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, and Taylor Swift.

Then there areOKELU, Hozier, and Zach Bryan, each of whom gets five nominations, as well as Future, Teddy Swims, and The Weeknd, each of whom gets four nominations.
