JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed the cause of the construction of SDN Cipete Utara 01 in South Jakarta stalled for a year. According to him, the problem started from a change in the concept of construction which made the project run without certainty.

Pramono explained that the initial planning of the project was only for the construction of a four-story elementary school building. However, along the way, the concept changed into a mixed-use project with high-rise buildings.

"The main problem at SDN 1 Cipete is when it was initially planned for an SD with four levels. Then, on the way, it changed to mixed-use, built up to about 20 levels," said Pramono in Setiabudi, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 30.

The change in concept, according to him, made the development process repeatedly change direction until it was abandoned.

"In the process of going back and forth, going back and forth, going back and forth and not being, so there is development that is abandoned," he said.

The condition of the Cipete Utara 01 SDN building currently still shows a project that has not been completed. A number of structural parts have not been completed, while the half-finished building has not been able to be optimally utilized for teaching and learning activities.

Pramono admitted that he had called the Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Service and his staff to accelerate the completion of the construction of the school. He asked that the completion of the elementary school building be prioritized first.

"Yesterday I have called the Head of the Education Office and the related ranks related to this, I ask for it to be immediately resolved for the SD first," said Pramono.

He emphasized that the development of the mixed-use project would be discussed later. The main focus at this time is to ensure that the SDN Cipete Utara 01 building is completed soon and can be used.

"For the next mixed-use business, but most importantly the SD will be completed soon and can be used immediately. Regarding when it will be, I will answer when it is finalized for that," he said.
