Iis Dahlia's Explanation Blasphemed By Netizens For Salah Lirik

JAKARTA - Iis Dahlia became a conversation on social media because of her viral video appearance. The 52-year-old singer was criticized by netizens for misusing the lyrics of the Indian song.

Responding to the many negative comments from netizens, Iis casually stated that the video was taken before 2020.

There is a context that includes this appearance, which when filling out one television program, Iis and another artist were joking during the commercial break.

"That's a joke. Netizens really like that, I don't know why," said Iis to the media crew in Tendean, South Jakarta recently.

"That's really my mind. There are guest stars who like to sing India, it's a show. It must be Happy in the morning, before the pandemic. Then it wants to combine (advertising tickets), it's a joke. The context is no longer in concerts," he continued.

Iis felt that his critics were too serious in responding to the circulating videos.

In fact, said Iis, singing the lyrics wrongly when appearing was not a big problem, especially this time the case occurred at a talk show, and not a music concert.

"Moreover, the context is not a singing concert. It's a talk show," he said.

Furthermore, the mother of actor Devano Danendra said that she always tries to memorize the lyrics of the song to be performed on stage.

But in this case, Iis feels that nothing needs to be raised. He understands every responsibility for a singer.

"Always memorize the lyrics. But like this, every event has a different demand for the song, so sometimes yes, you are old like this, okay. Especially in foreign language songs, not our language. It's like Indian, what does it say? For me, the important thing is that the melody is right," said Iis Dahlia.

"Kecuqli, I recorded the song India. What keeps my vocals is that there must be someone who understands the Indian language, I call, listen again to my friends in India," he concluded.
