There Is Gimik Slash In The Collaboration Between Andre Taulany And Ayu Ting Ting On The Cover Of The Song Nurlela

JAKARTA - Andre Taulany is increasingly active in music, not only for live performances that are usually performed with Andre Taulany & Friends, but also in recording studios.

This year, the former Stinky vocalist has released three songs, namely 'Maimunah', cover the song Teman Tapi Mesra, and most recently a collaboration with Ayu Ting Ting for the cover of the song Nurlela, which was first released by Bing Slamet in 1956.

Nurlela is still performed with a rhythm of Latin music, but at a slower tempo than the original version.

In the music video that aired on Andre Taulany and Friends' YouTube channel, Andre and Ayu were seen appearing on a stage. Both share the lyrics proportionally.

But it's not Andre Taulany if he doesn't present a game. Towards the end of the song, a figure like Guns N 'Roses guitarist Slash appears.

After Andre sang the line of the song 'Ahai Nurlela, if you listen to the guitar...', instead of continuing the lyrics with kling kling kling kling klang, the Slash-like figure actually played part of the intro song 'Sweet Child O' Mine'.

Despite presenting the game, Andre said that his collaboration with Ayu was worked on seriously.

"The recording process is said to be serious, so it's serious for sure. If not, it won't be good," said Andre Taulany during a press conference in Tendean, South Jakarta, Friday, November 29.

"But take a lot of jokes. He (Ayu Ying Ting) is a bad person. He's an easy person to laugh at, right, then the one who directs me again, so they both laugh," he continued.

Meanwhile, the collaboration between Andre and Ayu on the cover of the song Nurlela was not presented suddenly. The two of them performed it on one of the television programs some time ago.

"We were at the iftar event last year we played this song live, then we got a good response, it went viral, after that I said 'Yu, I think this song is fun, we'll do it.' Ayu is also happy, so let's make it," said Andre.

"But we are serious. Even though we sing covers. We make a video clip seriously, the music is also made serious, so it's not just a joke. The result is like this. We also explained earlier, we really want to make a duet like Bang Benjamin Sueb's era with Ida Royani," he concluded.
