Prince's Telecast Guitar To Freddie Mercury's Christmas Hat Ready To Be Auctioned

JAKARTA - Various interesting items and memorabilia from legendary musicians are ready to be auctioned. Two of them are Prince guitar and Freddie Mercury's Christmas hat.

Both will be available for auction at Played, Worn & Torn Auction, the industry's leading music memorabilia event from Julien's Auctions. The event was held on November 20-21 at the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville, Tennessee.

More than 800 iconic objects from the history of music will be featured in live and online auctions for the past two days.

The main collection to be auctioned off is Mary Kaye's 1956 Fender Stratocaster guitar: The #09391 series. The Stratocaster guitar with transparentality and gold metal component was held by Mary Kaye during the legendary Fender promotional photo in 1956. Known as "The Mary Kaye," the guitar was used in the Cha-Cha-Cha Boom! before becoming part of a long journey in the hands of well-known musicians such as Jimmy Crespo from Aerosmith and John Entwistle from The Who. The price is around 2020,000-$400,000.

Then there is Sister Rosetta Thappe's Gibson L-5 Guitar: The #EA-5024 series guitar is made for Sister Rosetta Thappe and is owned by the "Godother of Rock n' Roll" until 1952. A handicraft masterpiece with material from the vertex of the cypress tree Sitka, the back and side of Birdseye Maple, and the flameru on its neck. Thare's name is engraved on the trussrod cover and has been seen in various iconic photos since the beginning of his career. The price is around 40.000-$60,000.

While the Sadowsky guitar created for Prince will also be an attraction in itself. And welcoming the end of the year, there is also Freddie's collection of Christmas caps, a flamboyant vocalist from Queen who is ready to be proposed to a new owner.

Julien's Auctions continues its tradition, namely supporting the music community through exclusive charity collections such as "Lyrics for a Cause" by Music Health Alliance, which features signatured lyrics from Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez, and many more (estimated price each: 1,600-$800).
