Spirit KLa Project That Continues To Burn At AETERNITAS Concert 36 Years Of Work

JAKARTA - KLa Project maintains their existence as top bands by holding a five-year concert. However, what happened at Istora Senayan, Jakarta on October 25 yesterday was a bit different.

Katon,men and Adi held a solo concert titled AETERNITAS in celebration of 36 years of work. The concert was held just a year after their 35-year performance last year.

Therefore, guitarist KLa Project revealed the reason for holding concerts outside of that routine. It seems that he gave a joke answer, but thousands of spectators who attended clearly could not refuse KLa's quality music presentation.

"This year I am 60 years old, if I wait another five years to make a concert, I'm afraid I can't and can't play guitar anymore. Therefore, we agreed when we were asked to hold a concert this year to show our irreversibility as a musician," he said to the screams of the audience.

In collaboration with Edy Khemod as the show director, KLa Project seemed to refuse to be old. Their spirit in music is outlined very brilliantly from the arrangement side to visuals which emphasizes how important performance art is for their caliber bands.

From the stage, KLa Project did express their concern for live performances. "If the song is performed like that, it just becomes less interesting, that's why we made a special arrangement for this concert," said Katon Bagaskara.

Young, single, and those who bring their partners are both enjoying the treats of songs such as About Kita, Raising Dreams, Kidung Mesra to Yogyakarta. The night passed slowly because of the nostalgia and sweet euphoria of the 1988-born band.

Collaboration with other musicians is also a surprise factor at the AETERNITAS concert. In the song Time Left, KLa synergizes with traditional musical instruments such as drums, distills to gamelans. There is no limit between modern and traditional music, because they blend well and even strengthen each other.

There was also the Magic Contest that was present to perform the song Range Asmara, one of the old works of KLa Project which was reborn. Katon et al saw the creations of these young people as something to be praised.
