JAKARTA - The Hot Coffee Foundation (KPF) initiated an event that presented a number of well-known musicians such as Chocolate, Jason Ranti, and Romantic Echoes. The event entitled Djiva Fest 2024 was held as part of the commemoration of World Mental Health Day, which will take place on November 2 in the Universe Gallery, South Jakarta.

KPF founder Prisia Nasution confirmed the series of events that will also feature Reda Gaudimao and The Signals.

"We want to create an inclusive space where people can gather, learn, and share about the importance of mental health," said Prisia in a written broadcast received by VOI, October 27.

In addition to the musical performance, Djiva Fest also presents a series of activities such as exhibitions of photography and painting arts, yoga sessions, and consultation rooms that are packaged in a familiar and relaxed picnic atmosphere. Prisia explained that the concept of this picnic is expected to attract families to attend, as well as introduce mental health issues to the younger generation from an early age.

"We want to undermine the stigma and show that those who live with mental disorders deserve the same support," continued Prisia.

According to him, music has proven to be able to reduce levels of anxiety and stress, even helping those who are facing serious illness. This underlies the selection of music as the main element of the festival.

Not only as entertainment, but Djiva Fest 2024 also aims to raise funds to support ODGJ institutions that are KPF partners.

Prisia hopes that this event can be a moment for the community to be more concerned, not only about mental health issues, but also in building social solidarity.

"We hope that Djiva Fest can be the first step towards a wider awareness in the future," said Prisia.

The Director of KPF, Marrysa Tunjung Sari, also conveyed her commitment to fighting for the rights of those who are often marginalized.

"We want to ensure that every individual, including ODGJ, has equal access to proper health services," he said. Through various programs implemented, the KPF aims to empower ODGJ to be more independent and accepted in the community.
