JAKARTA - The band from Yogyakarta, Scandal has just released an album with the title 'Melodi'. This is the first full album, which follows the previous mini and single albums.
The personnel consisting of Yogha Prasiddhamukti (vocals), Rheza Ibrahim (guitar), Robertus Febrian Valentino (guitar, vocals), and calma Mahendra (drums), have been working on Melodi intensely since mid-2023.
The process of working on this album is a new commitment from Scandal, since Siddha returned to Yogyakarta.
"Finally, each of us is committed to making an album and running the band more seriously," said Siddha in his statement, Friday, October 25.
Siddha felt that it had been too long since the Scandal had not released an album, even though they already had a lot of material to work on.
Melodi presents 12 songs that combine an alternative 1990s 2000s of music, such as indie rock, slowcore, powerpop, to the glory of Indonesian pop rock two decades ago.
"Basically, everything is organic and the direction of this music makes sense," said Siddha.
Meanwhile, the album Melodi was inspired and wanted to tell life with all its qualities, such as bitter and sweet which came and went on and on.

"This album is a series of expressions of our various thoughts and feelings that arise from our current personal life experiences with various rhythms," he added.
To celebrate the release of the first full album, Scandal plans various initiatives, ranging from album launch concerts, tours, music video releases, to releasing albums in physical format such as cassettes, CDs, and disks.
