Joyland Festival Jakarta 2024 Presents Hyukoh & Sunset Rollercoaster As Headliner

JAKARTA - Plainsong Live as the promoter has prepared for the 2024 Jakarta Joyland Festival which will be held for three days at GBK Baseball Stadium, Central Jakarta, November 22-24.

Promoters have also announced the third and final phase line-up, which includes domestic and foreign musicians.

Following St. Vincent, Air,psy Bicycle Club, and other previously announced names, the Hyukoh & Sunset Rollercoaster were announced as headliners. They were presented as indie rock mergers of South Korea and Taiwan.

We are very grateful that Asia's two biggest indie rock bands are currently able to appear at the Joyland Festival. Their decision to create this collaborative album is an exploratory choice for them and exciting for their fans," said Ferry Dermawan as Program Director of Joyland Festival, through a press release to VOI, Tuesday, October 15.

The show with Hyukoh & Sunset Rollercoaster will feature songs from the AAA collaboration album released last July, such as Young Man, Glue, and Antenna.

In addition, there will be repertoires like TOMBOY and Comes and Goes from Hyukoh, as well as Vanilla and My Jinji from the Sunset Rollercoaster.

Other international performers will also be present to enliven the Joyland Festival Jakarta this year, such as the Khun Narin's Electric Phin Band of Thailand which combines psychedelic rock with Thai folk music; the trio of Electronic Music OfTENape from South Korea; Cami Layé Okmen, the DJ of tropical music born in Cuba who is now living in France; Danniella Dee, DJ Roots reggae from England who is also part of the trio dub sound system Sisters in Dub; as well as Habibi Funk, Middle Eastern music DJ from Germany as well as founder of a record label of the same name.

The five names above include artists who will fill Lily Pad Stage, which this year is curated by White Shoes & The Couples Company (WSATCC), the old artistic collaborator Joyland Festival who will also perform.

"In curating the Lily Pad stage, we want to share the fun and artistic ideas," the WSATCC said.

We chose friends and networks that have met on the journey of White Shoes & The Couples Company so far, newcomers of choice, and those who have references to music, authenticity, energy and spirit that we admire.

The choice for Lily Pad Stage, which is designed as a band and bar performance stage for DJ action, will also feature Indonesian talents, including Asa Kusumah, Bosborot, The Cottons, Drizzyly, Jeslla, Plastic and Prontaxan.

Meanwhile, the..Feast, which first appeared at the Joyland Festival, also completed another line of domestic performers.

The pre-sale of Joyland Festival Jakarta 2024 tickets has entered Phase 5 which provides the option of three-day initial entry (Rp1,038,000), three-day regular entry (Rp1,138,000), three-day VIP (Rp1,408,000), one-day entry early (Rp498,000) and one-day entry regular (Rp558,000).
