Mxmtoon Releases Single 'Rain' Ahead Of The 'Liminal Space' Album Present November

JAKARTA - The singer and songwriter from the United States, mxmtoon, today officially introduced his latest single entitled "rain". This song is part of his third album 'liminal space' which will be released on November 1.

Released through the BEGINNing Recordings, "rain" is a song that has the strain of soft music and is filled with vocal layers, as well as an acoustic guitar excerpt. This song explores the bitter feelings of a change in life as well as the longing for something we cannot have. This musical arrangement that is deliberately made minimalists also provides more space to highlight the writing of mxmtoon lyrics.

"I always thought that I would spend my whole life in California until I finally decided to move to New York in 2020. Four years later, I was faced with the choice of whether I wanted to return to my hometown, and at first I thought about the option...

"Living in this state is really different and it's scary, but on the other hand it's also quite challenging for me to be able to grow and also learn in a way I never imagined before. I managed to become a new person, and the idea of moving back to it feels like I'm going to sacrifice the version of myself that I love now. Others can easily romanticize what they can't have, and wherever I am, I'll always miss a different place. If I were in California, I would definitely miss New York, and vice versa and this cycle will definitely go on and on."

On the 'liminal space' album later, mxmtoon will show its growing lyric writing ability, where previously its personal writing style has succeeded in bringing in millions of listeners and loyal fans who have now spread throughout the world. Carrying the theme of life in uncertainty in entering adulthood which is then packed with indie-pop genre music, the 'liminal space' is ready to be the most introspective mxmtoon music project to date.

In addition, this album also provides an opportunity for mxmtoon to collaborate with the production team which is filled with all women, from songwriters, recording engineers, music producers, photographers to clothing designers Kang Hee Kim. mxmtoon will close this year by appearing in Mexico City in November. In February next year, he will be on tour for his latest album 'liminal space' in North America covering 27 show schedules, including stops in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and others.
