JAKARTA - Thai singer, FUm Viphurit introduced his latest work entitled 'Balter Baby'. Similar to 'The Other Side' which was released last September 24, this song still carries the concept of Paul Vibhavadi's story, which is his alter ego.
'Balter Baby' is dance music, which became the singer-creator's first instrumental work for the Bangkok-born song.
This work wants to show another side of the taste and capability of the musical Phum. A bold music video for 'Balter Baby' worked on by Shea Oracheski and James Bedggood will also be broadcast on the official YouTube channel Phum Viphurit.
In terms of narrative, Balter Baby is a continuation of The Other Side, which tells the story of Paul Vibhavadi, the adorable 24-kang who is struggling with the idol he received from the Badminton tribe he met on his way to find the Hemmapan magical forest.
"I want to develop a scene from the previous music video showing the tribe worshiping it by dancing like in the Midsommer film by Ari Aster," said FUm Viphurit in his statement, Wednesday, October 9.
"So, this song features Paul who is being lulled by it and what he feels in the dance scene," he continued.

Harum chose to tell a part of Paul's story through instrumental songs, to break the limits on his musical identity.
"I've released music that tends to be instrumental, but there's always my vocals glimpse. If this song really to accompany people dancing," he said.
To be honest, when I saw the last 50 songs I liked on Spotify, about 45 of them were instrumental songs. While looking for inspiration, I tried to write lyrics for the existing instrumental songs. And in this song I want to reverse the method in a way, Can I attract listeners' attention or make them nod their heads following this three-minute home music song that features guitar and synth? It's an interesting challenge, but also according to the theme of the story.
Furthermore about 'Balter Baby', this work also emphasizes the exploration of Phum Viphurit on the mini album PAUL VIBHAVADI VOL. 1 but still makes sense in the context of the project being undertaken.
"I feel like if I'm going to introduce a house music-inspired song like 'The Other Side', I need a sequel before shifting from that tempo and texture. So, 'Balter Baby' is the most reasonable choice for me," concluded Phum Viphurit.
