JAKARTA - Forbes recently launched a list of the 38 largest heavy metal bands in history. This list refers to the emergence of the genre as one of the alternative cultures popularized in contemporary music from the 1970s.

This list of iconic metal bands was created taking into account the entire history of the heavy metal genre, which began when Black Sabbath released their debut studio album in 1970.

Forbes put Metallica in the top position. James Hetfield cs is considered to have a huge impact on metal music, and is also the biggest band in the heavy metal genre.

Metallica's early appearance in the 1980s was cited as the bearer of a different genre, until the 1991 launch of The Black Album was considered the culmination that made them the biggest metal band on earth of all time.
