Voice Of Baceprot Reflects Human And Natural Relations On Single Titled Mighty Island

JAKARTA - Voice of Baceprot (VoB) introduced a new single with the title 'Mighty Island'. This song is Marsya's first release (vocals, guitar), Widi (bass), and Siti (drums) in 2024.

The 'Mighty Island' is here to describe the destruction of nature caused by human acts, such as the destruction of forests and green land, marine pollution, poaching, and reckless human behavior that causes the climate crisis.

We are doing this as an effort to echo the worrying voice more broadly. We also consider this step an effort to regain the friendly house where our works reside, "said Marsya in a press release received by VOI, Sunday, October 6.

This song is worked on through a long process. In 2021, VoB personnel will try to reflect on the relationship between humans and nature.

They see how human activity has become the dominant factor in environmental damage today.

Questions arise in their minds, "What can we do as humans, as the subject of the dominant destroyer to stop that dominance?"

Their various discussions attended, many literature were also trying to understand each personnel. And 'Mighty Island' is the result of the whole search.

The word 'Island' on the title is intended as a symbol of pain, that the earth, which was once beautiful, sturdy, and a source of various lives, is now eroded by greed and indifference to exploitation.

More than just that, maybe this song can also be a helping hand for anyone to have the will to act to save nature, save the future," continued the guitarist.

Currently, VoB's 'Mighty Island' can be heard in the form of a lyric video on the Voice of Baceprot YouTube channel.

In the near future, this song will be launched on various digital music platforms.

"Now we really hope, hopefully there will be awareness that will wake up. Hopefully there will be emotion that will be moved before it's really too late," said Widi.
