Tom Hamilton, Bassist Aerosmith Holds First Concert With New Band

JAKARTA - Aerosmith has announced his retirement from the music scene following vocal injury by Steven Tyler, the vocalist. But other personnel, including Tom Hamilton, are still quite busy with the music world.

Tom recently announced that he would hold a concert with his new band called Close Enemies. This will be his first concert with the band.

"Hey, I need to tell you if I joined a band called Close Enemies," Hamilton wrote on X (previously Twitter) on Friday, September 27.

"We have a lot of great songs recorded. We will soon release one song. Meanwhile, we will be holding a show in Nashville on October 11 in Nashville at a place called the Eastside Bowl. Please come!!" he added.

On Close Enemies itself, Tom made music with his bass technician, Trace Foster who plays guitarist. He also played with Peter Stroud, who has been a companion to Sheryl Crow for 25 years.

While they entrusted the drummer position to Tony Brock who had been with Rod Stewart for 12 years. And Chasenris is the band's vocalist and frontman.

Tom still has a musical spirit in him. Because of that when the decision to retire on the Aerosmith tour was announced, he felt lost.

But in his interview with Guitar World, he revealed that there was still hope that he and his colleagues in Aerosmith would perform again. "Maybe one day we will do something again, but not for tours," he said as quoted by Loudwire.
