Raditya Dika Prepares A New Music Project, Will Release Later This Year

JAKARTA - Having distanced himself from music and sold his entire guitar collection, Raditya Dika again found musical passion in unexpected ways.

Starting from a project at his son's school four months ago, where parents formed a band and appeared at school, Radit returned to music after a long time.

The 39-year-old man admitted that his music passion was getting bigger. He already bought guitar and effect, as well as other equipment.

Getting submerged in music passion, Radit has even made a new music project, along with a book he has written.

"Yes, finally I'slamed' and started making songs again. So I have a project, the title is Timun Jelita. It's a book," said Raditya Dika, quoting Dewa Budjana's YouTube channel, Friday, September 13.

Meanwhile, Jelita's 'Timun' tells the story of a 40-year-old man who makes music with the band. Although there is a resemblance to his current condition, Radit makes his book with a fictional story.

"Well, I made songs from the band in this book too," he said.

Radit has prepared the song and group format that he will form. He has also found producers and singers for his songs.

So far, two songs have been recorded, in duo format, Raditya Dika and a female singer.

"The intention is only a duo, I'm with the singer, the rest is a session player. The plan is to release it at the end of the year," said Raditya Dika.

"I can't wait to perform, can't wait to live," he said.
