Pain Killer, Yojiro Noda Experiment Towards The First Solo Album

JAKARTA - Yojiro Noda, a Japanese singer released "Pain Killer" as the second single of his solo project. This is also part of the solo album of the vocalist of RADWIMPS, WONDER BOYS AKUMU CLUB, which will be released on September 25.

In an official statement, Yojiro's first solo album will have 13 tracks. There are various stories contained in it, and most of them come from personal stories.

Like 'EVERGREEN feat. kZm', a collaboration single with Japanese rapper kZm which was released last April, and KATATOKI, a collaboration song with American rapper JID which is included in the soundtrack game Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.

Frontman RADWIMPS also released a music video for "Pain Killer" directed by Kenta Suzuki and the character will be released on September 13 at 17.00 WIB. The limited edition of the album's CD edition came with the ACUMU-KUN character t-shirt made by the artist manga and illustrator Posuka Demizu.

This idea came from Yojiro who wanted to express his solo project through a character who represented his freedom of music. Through the brainstorming process between Posuka and Yojiro, AKUMU-KUN was finally born based on Yojiro's image as a universal and unbeaten character as a musician.

"I released my first album as Yojiro Noda. I've been a part of RADWIMPS since I was 15 years old, even though the band is at the heart of my existence in the music world, I'm starting to wonder what it's like to be able to play or experiment in the realm of other music genres by way of my current musical approach," said Yojiro Noda in his statement.

"So during these two years when I had the time, I started trying to make music, trying a lot of new things, and in the end I produced these 13 songs that went through my struggle trying to make something new, and a lot of moments where I felt like giving up. "he added.

Music experiments are something refreshing for Yojiro after being on the same creative canvas.

"The process of creating songs on this album is fun. Here I'm not trying to write a good song, but what I'm trying to do is create a great album. I want to thank Kuwahara and Takeda who participated in some of the songs, and also HOLLY who gave the idea for me to start working on this album," concluded Yojiro.
