JAKARTA - Former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman is known as a big fan of the Kiss band. He began to seriously study guitar after watching the Gene Simmons cs show.

During an interview with Sam Ash Music some time ago, Friedman even revealed that he had been asked to audition as a guitarist, but unfortunately he failed to join the legendary band.

When they changed guitar players some time ago, I got a call from people at Kiss, "said Marty Friedman starting the story.

They said, 'You think you're interested in participating in Kiss auditions?' I'm like, 'Tell me when and where'

Friedman is very happy at the possibility of joining Kiss, one of his favorite bands. Before auditioning, the guitarist was asked to answer some questions from Kiss.

'You don't have hair on your face, do you?' No. 'Rambutmu long, right?' Right. 'You're thin, right?' Right. 'And your height is over 6 feet (182.88 cm)?', said Friedman imitating his conversation with the person who was Kiss's messenger.

"I was like, 'What? I'm 5.75 feet (175.26 cm) tall," replied Friedman.

Because of his great desire to become a Kiss guitarist, Friedman expressed his readiness to undergo surgery so that his height met the requirements. But unfortunately Kiss's decision could not be changed.

"I really understand, because it will look (funny) if there is a short man playing the main guitar," said Friedman.

"So I really understand, but I will do anything. If any operations were available at that time, I would."

Although not being the main guitarist of Kiss, Marty Friedman has a big name in the world's rock music scene. Not only known as the main guitarist for Megadeth (1990-2000), he is also successful as a soloist.
