JAKARTA - Bernadya is one of the song singers who is known to have succeeded in evolving listeners through lyrics. The songs feel close to the experiences of many people.

Behind his ability to write song lyrics, the singer 'What's Possible' admits that he often gets a lot of inspiration when reading books.

"I'm easier (to get inspiration from) reading. Because to be honest, there are a lot of languages that I just thought about when I read books like poetry or short stories," said Bernadya when met in Ampera, South Jakarta on Tuesday, August 20.

According to him, reading books helps a lot to add to the word treasury as the basis for writing song lyrics.

"So, in writing it is more helped by reading books," he said.

In addition, watching movies also provides a lot of ideas in writing song lyrics. But when you watch movies, it helps more in terms of story ideas," he said.

So far, Bernadya has enjoyed how to write lyrics. But it is undeniable, some obstacles in choosing a writing style are often encountered.

"Sometimes I need a lot of time to find alternatives, so I can talk about this but in a more aesthetic way," said Bernadya.

Speaking further about the story presented in the lyrics of the songs, Bernadya admits that some inspiration comes from personal stories.

It's a combination, some from personal experience, some not. So in one song it can be 50 percent personal experience, or it can be 90 - 10, so that's all kinds of things. The point is some from personal experience, but not all of them," he said.
