Sun Surabaya Burning Canceled After Residential Protests

JAKARTA - TSV Management announced the cancellation of the Burning Sun Surabaya event which was previously planned to be held on August 31.

The Saverio alias Megi representing TSV Management announced the cancellation through a video uploaded on Instagram.

"With the noise and the many misleadings, and for all of our friends, we agreed to cancel an event called Burning Sun Surabaya for the common good," said The Saverio.

"I hope my response to the crowd of events that I hold will spread widely and relieve misperceptions or yesterday's noise," he continued.

In the video, The Saverio also denied that it intends to bring in Seungri, who is a central figure in the Burning Sun scandal in South Korea.

Furthermore, The Saverio also apologized for the noise that occurred, but he felt that his party was not guilty of the illegal interpretation of netizens.

"From the start I made this event by private invitation because I did address community friends who were over 21 years old, and I did not charge friends who voluntarily came to fulfill my invitation," he said.

"All the commotion that happened outside my statement this time was something that didn't come from me and the team, and everything that came from netizens' speculation where it was something that was out of our control."
