Venue Transfer Due To Sheila On 7 Concert In Bandung Threatened To Cancel

The decision to move the Sheila On 7 concert venue in Bandung from Siliwangi Stadium to Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) was strongly rejected by Umuh Muchtar as Commissioner of PT Persib Bandung Beneficial (PBB).

It is known that the United Nations has had permission to manage the GBLA since early July. In this case, Umuh emphasized that the news about the Sheila On 7 concert at GBLA on September 28 is not true.

"There is no ( Sheila On 7 concert), hoaxes, lies, nothing, I emphasize," Umuh Muchtar told the media crew last weekend.

Umuh stated that his party manages the stadium for the benefit of Persib Bandung and is not of other interest, especially for music concerts.

"We take care of GBLA for the good of Persib, there is no application for permission from the promoter," he said.

The reason is clear, the use of GBLA for music concerts has great potential to damage the grass conditions of the stadium. Moreover, his party has worked hard to take care of the stadium.

"Later, if the grass is damaged, we will be ridiculed by Bobotoh (Persib's supporters). Why is it handed over from the City Government to Persib if it is damaged again. We will take care of it and fix it to make it even better," continued Umuh.

Meanwhile, the transfer of venues from the Siliwangi Stadium to GBLA was an effort by the promoter to fulfill the high demand from fans for the Sheila On 7 Wait for Me Di concert tour.

Seeing the enthusiasm and high demand from fans for ticket sales last April, we really appreciate the enthusiasm of the fans. Tickets in 5 cities were sold out in a short time.
