Turbokidz Presents Five Personal Songs In EP Transition

JAKARTA - Ican Pane alias Turbokidz launched a new extended play (EP) with the title 'Transition'. This mini album contains the five tracks produced thanks to the collaboration with the demajors record label.

The 'Perfection' which has actually been released first as a single, is the first track for this EP. This song is about a feeling that makes a person return to being himself.

Imagination which is inspired by the imagination of having a love with a celebrity who is admired as the second track. Then, there is Jovial which is the focus track EP, containing an encouraging message to keep getting up.

Furthermore, Ambition which tells the desire to continue loving loved ones is the fourth track, and Required expressing a sense of calm when together with a lover until it feels like going home, becomes a track pent up.

"Transition is a fairly personal work. I feel that now is a better phase in living life and also having a career in music. The experience of life that I have been through in the past year has been poured into this EP," said Ican Pane in his statement, Monday, August 5.

The mini album 'Transition' was inspired by 1990s and 2000s, which was dominated by moderate tempo songs. This time, Turbokidz focuses more on the rhythms driven by drums and basses, which are then wrapped with synthesizers, charms, and customized vocals.

This EP describes a process of change to become something better, included in the work. Transition is about discovery and acceptance. To find truly new love and to accept yourself, regardless of the bitter shackles of the past," continued Ican.

In the process of working on a new EP, Ican was assisted by several colleagues, such as Iqbal Firdaus Putra of Texpack who filled the drums in the songs Perfection, Imagination, Jovial, and Ambition; Aul covered from Pijar who filled the drums in the song Required; Dovi Martindas which also filled the songs Imagination and Jovial; and Ivan Wirawan from Local Happierest to fill in bass.

Record sessions are carried out in various places, such as Emic/etic Studio, Bens and Co Studio, and Great Wave Studio. Meanwhile, the mixing and mastering process is carried out independently by Ican Pane, except for the song 'Perfection' which is assisted bytuhi Nurhani.
