JAKARTA - The Indonesian Jazz Forum (FJI) will again hold the 2024 FJI Jazz Summit which will be held at IFI Thamrin, Central Jakarta on 26 and 27 July.

FJI Jazz Summit aims to be an activity that places Indonesia as a country that plays an important role in the development of jazz music in the Asia-Pacific region.

This activity was presented to raise aspects around jazz in the form of panel discussions, education about jazz, and displaying young jazz talents on showcases.

There are 5 points that are the goal of the 2024 FJI Jazz Summit, namely to build cooperation with the jazz ecosystem at the national and international levels; develop jazz through constructive discussions and benefit stakeholders; and increase understanding and knowledge of jazz through short workshops for jazz players.

In addition, two other points are to provide opportunities for new jazz talents from within and outside the country, to form a jazz collaboration network between nations; and bring together jazz stakeholders so that they can benefit each other in the future.

Meanwhile, the four discussion themes that will be presented are "Jazz & Diplomacy" with Jules Irrmann and Kiera Emmons panels, "Jazz Industry" with Astrid Sulaiman, Daniel Adisumarta and Alvin Ghazali, Jazz Education with Sri Hanuraga, Otto Stuparitz and Chanutr Techathanan panels, as well as Jazz Ecosystem with Susan Peh, Candra Darusman and Alfred Ticoalu panels.

In addition, two workshops were also presented, namely the standard jazz workshop by Nial Djularso and the drum workshop by Simone Prattico.
