JAKARTA - Meda Kawu and Duta Pamungkas collaborated through a work entitled 'For A Tired Heart' which was chosen to be the original soundtrack (OST) for the film Romeo Ingkar Promise which will air on July 25.

Untuk Hati Yang Tire' merupakan lagu adaptasi dari Silent Saturday, single yang pernah dirilis di tahun Meda dan Duta di tahun 2020.

The selection of this song to be OST Romeo Ingkar Promise began last year, when the filming process for the film was underway. The production house Adhya Pictures and Creative Power Management contacted Meda because they were interested in using the song "Silent Saturday" as the original soundtrack, but they asked for the song to be changed to an Indonesian version.

Changing the lyrics from English to Indonesian is a challenge for Meda as a songwriter. Various approaches were made, until finally the song was changed to a more suitable version of the film.

"Coming Silent Saturday into Indonesian is very challenging. After the brainstorming, we decided to compose all parts except for the chorus that remains in English. We found a different feeling from the'rest' theme on the Indonesian version of Silent Saturday, and we hope this will touch more people, especially the bridge section. This part represents the post-pandemic human condition which tends to be mentally tired quickly," said Meda Kawu in her statement, Monday, July 15.

Furthermore, the Ambassador told how he and Meda reinterpreted Silent Saturday, which can be called their best work to date.

"The Silent Saturday song is a symbol for'rest', and translating this term into Indonesian which is not suitable for easy. However, we feel that the phrase 'tire heart' matches the lyrics of the song and matches the depiction of the main character in the film," said Duta Pamungkas.

"For Hati Yang Tire, we hope that it will not just be a film soundtrack, but a work that accompanies listeners on an in-depth journey to calm down," continued Duta.

For information, the Tired Heart from Meda Kawu and Pamungkas Ambassadors can already be heard on various digital streaming services in Indonesia.
