JAKARTA - Sad news came from the Indonesian music scene. Hendro Jarot Nugroho, a bass session for Vierratale who is also a former Seventeen, reportedly died on Saturday night, July 13 in Yogyakarta.

Ifan Seventeen, who had known the late Hendro Jarot for a long time, confirmed the news through uploads on his Instagram account.

"Innalillahi wainnailaihi rojiun, has passed away to Rahmatullah, our brother, our colleague @hendrojarotnugroho1982 last night at Wirosaban Jogjakarta Hospital," Ifan wrote in the uploaded statement.

Condolences also came from Vierratale, the band that became Hendro's home before taking his last breath.

"My deepest condolences for the death of @hendrojarotnugroho1282. May the bereaved family be given fortitude," wrote Vierratale via Instagram Story upload.

Although his name is not too familiar with Indonesian music lovers, Hendro Jarot or commonly called Bendot has been in the music industry for a long time.

According to Ifan Seventeen's testimony, the deceased was once their guitarist, even when the band experienced a major disaster in 2018.

"Matur ibadah nuwun ya kak @hendrojarotnugroho1282, kowe sudah nemenin aku dari di Seventeen, sama2 terkena kesalahan tsunami, tetapi kowe masih nemenin aku untuk bangun Ig bermusik, berubah jadi acous gitar player karena waktu itu ada dua orang bassist pun tidak jadi masalah kehitungmu. Yang penting kita masih bermusik bersama," tutur Ifan.

"Until at the end of life, you return to playing bass again to become an additional bassist for Vierra, I'm happy to see it, you come back I'm playing according to your field. Married to @meyldafitrayani my friend who turns out to be also God's way," continued Ifan.
