JAKARTA - For rock music lovers, the film School of Rock (2003), played by Jack Black, is nothing foreign. The film tells of a musician named totaling Finn who achieves his dream of forming a rock band with elementary school students.

To remember the humorous and fun that was presented in the film, Ciputra Artpreneur and Hi Jakarta Production presented the School of Rock the Musical which will be held at Ciputra Artpreneur, South Jakarta on 27 July.

This musical was performed with an official Broadway license from THE REALLY USEFUL GROUP owned by legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Allah, known for his works such as The Phantom of the Opera and Cats.

This performance was not only held to entertain, but also to provide educational spaces and performing arts training for the younger generation.

Most of the School of Rock the Musical actors are young people under 18 who will experience participating in the production of musical dramas professionally.

We chose SCHOOL OF ROCK the Musical as a show for the Junior Musical program this year because we believe the message brought by this musical, namely that everyone has the right to express and pursue a dream.
