James Alyn Wants To Try A Lot Of New Things After Debuting As A Soloist

JAKARTA - After the duo project with Karn on HYBS, James Alyn pursued his musical career as a soloist by launching his debut single titled 'Now and Ever'. This song is the beginning of his ambitious new journey.

In an exclusive interview with VOI, James said he would try many new things that had never been tried before. He wants to be a more 'rich' musician.

I try to expand the boundaries of my creativity. So, I try to write songs in different styles, experiment with different instruments, and work with a lot of people," said James Alyn.

James felt in a certain style when writing songs, both on HYBS and as a soloist, and he felt experiment with new things was important to give birth to a work.

I experimented a lot in terms of instrumentation, musical style, and genre. Combining everything with the understanding of the lyric melody I have, that's where the song was created. I am very enthusiastic to see the results of the experiment," he said.

James also referred to his works as soloists, possibly different from the music colors offered by HYBS. The reason is, he sees HYBS as a music project that was worked on with Karn. Things are different when he works as a soloist.

"When I do music, I always try to stay fresh, so I like working with new people, I like working in different styles and new genres, trying to write in a style I've never done before. So, I feel that's the way to develop as an artist and now as a soloist," he said.

With his debut as a soloist, James Alyn can't wait to greet his fans in Indonesia. As he has done with HYBS, he hopes to appear in Indonesia in the future.

"Thank you very much for supporting me when I was with HYBS. Until now, thank you for still encouraging me and loving my music. I hope to see you guys on the tour soon. And hopefully looking forward to it, I have more music coming soon," concluded James Alyn.
