Photos Are Crowded On Social Media, Callista Suspended From JKT48 Activities

JAKARTA - Callista Alfia has recently been discussed on social media. This JKT48 Gen-10 member was dragged into dating rumors that were taboo among the idol group.

A number of Callie's photos with the opposite sex are widely spread on social media platforms. The incident sparked a disappointed reaction from fans, so that the case was increasingly being discussed.

Responding to the commotion, JKT48 Operational Team (JOT) announced the suspension of Callista from group activities for a while. Through an official statement, they claimed to have received a complete statement from Callista and would give the consequence.

"Regarding the photos circulating on social media a few days ago, the member concerned has explained everything that happened honestly to the management," wrote JOT on the official JKT48 website, May 17.

"Therefore, we have decided to suspend Callista Alfia's activities as a member of JKT48 from today until August 16, 2024," the statement continued.

During the suspension, Callista will not be involved in all JKT48 activities, including previously scheduled video calls.

"As previously announced, Callista Alfia's Video Call as a digital photobook purchase bonus JKT48 LAST VOYAGE has been canceled," management wrote on May 20.

"For those who already have a Video Call ticket with Callie, we will refund tickets in the form of JKT48 Point. Points will be added to your account no later than Thursday, May 23, 2024," he concluded.
