JAKARTA - In the last nine years, Teza Sumendra released two albums, namely self titled in 2015 and extended play (EP) 'Midnight Motion' which had just been launched.

Talking about the differences between the two albums, Teza said the latest albums became more personal. Although both of them were inspired by many true stories, the 'Midnight Motion' originated from the experience of Teza herself.

"Actually, in this EP, I try to be more honest with what I wrote. Because in the first album, the self titled was mostly from a friend's story, this one is a story from yourself," said Teza Sumendra in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta recently.

For example on the song The Intro(vert), Teza wrote it during the pandemic. The lyrics of the song contain an honest outpouring of what she felt at that time.

In addition, Teza feels that she is also becoming more mature in working on the 'Midnight Motion'. Instead of showing off her vocal abilities, she prefers to sing according to her accompaniment music.

"If the first album is built, I want to show if I can sing. Yes, it's typical of young people," said Teza.

"But in this EP I sing more according to the music. Here I also explore the sound of the music more. Yes, it's more mature," he continued.

The 'Midnight Motion' contains six songs, namely "The Intro (vert)", "Got Supply', Lights Off, I Do Know, Daytime Alibi, and On It.

The first two songs have been released previously, while the other four songs are songs that were first introduced via 'Midnight Motion'.
