JAKARTA - Voice of Baceprot (VoB) should be proud. Marsya (vocals, guitars), Widi (bass), and Siti (drums) have received international attention again. They are included in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2024 list.
On the official website, VoB was introduced as a hijab metal band known for its reputation in opposing stereotypes in Indonesia.

This brave decision is in accordance with its reputation for opposing stereotypes in Muslim-majority countries.'
They started from covering group hits like Metallica for school events to creating their own music and conducting international tours. In June they will appear in Glastonbury, the first Indonesian musician to appear at the British festival in 54 years of history. With lyrics discussing issues such as gender inequality and climate change, UK-based Metal Hammer magazine called Voice of Baceprot the 'world-needed metal band'."
Responding to this achievement, VoB through its official Instagram account expressed his pride. They feel triggered to do good things in the future.
